Root Canal Therapy

In days past, infected teeth or contained a dying nerve would have to be removed. Today’s root canal treatments make it possible to treat infected teeth and remove the nerve tissue, eliminating the need for extraction.

The Procedure- Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatments consist of removing infected tissues from the roots (located in the canal in the tooth). Once this material is removed the canal is sterilized and sealed to prevent bacteria fromre-entering.

After the Procedure

After the procedure the treated tooth will become dehydrated, brittle and prone to fractures. At this point, Dr. Pasha recommends a dental crown to protect against further damage.

Symptoms like swelling, throbbing, and extreme sensitivity to hot and cold could be a sign that you need root canal treatment.

If you experience these symptoms, don’t hesitate to request an appointment with Dr. Pasha today.
